The "Publishing/Notify influencer" step is designed to let influencers know it’s time to publish and provides them with the Publication instructions for your campaign.
When you're ready to send this email, click the "Notify influencer" button on the campaign dashboard. This will start sending out Publishing emails and trigger any follow-up sequences you've configured. For more on setting up follow-ups, see: How to set up automated follow-up emails with Email flows.
I. The Publication Instruction Page in the Email
The primary purpose of the Publication Instruction Page is to share all the information your influencers need for their posts, such as:
Hashtags, mentions, and keywords you’ve added to the campaign (More details)
Unique tracking links to monitor clicks (optional, not commonly used if you already are using 3 👇) (More details)
Their personalized discount codes and/or affiliate links for sales tracking through Upfluence (More details)
II. Setting Up the Publication Instruction Page
If you choose to use the publication instruction page to share key information:
Navigate to Settings and select the Publication instructions tab.
Modify the information displayed on this page.
1. Hashtags, mentions, and keywords
To keep if you defined keywords in the tracking section
2. Tracked links
To keep if you need to track the clicks your influencers generate for you, and if you set up the click tracking link.
3. Discount code & Affiliate links
To keep if you generated discount codes and/or affiliate links for sales tracking through Upfluence.
For example, if you're allowing creators to share their affiliate link but not a click-tracking link, remove the click-tracking section from the template.
Note: Do not alter the scripts for sections you intend to use. These scripts will automatically populate with information from each influencer's campaign profile.
If you need to revert any changes made to the publication instruction page, simply click the "Reset to default" button.
III. How It's Sent to Influencers
Using {{publication_link}}
Merge Field:
The {{publication_link}}
merge field generates a unique link for each influencer, redirecting to their personalized Publication instruction page. In the default template of each publishing email, this link is hyperlinked to "HERE".
Note: The {{publication_link}}
merge field only works within a campaign and is automatically generated for each influencer.
To edit and customize your Publishing email with {{publication_link}}
, refer to: What are Campaign-specific merge fields and how do I use them?
Special note:
There is a second way to provide influencers with the tracking key information:
Directly in the Email Content: Add hashtags, mentions, and keywords directly to your email. For discount codes and affiliate links, use campaign-specific merge fields. For more details, click here.
