Once you've finished configuring your campaign and are ready to launch, the next step is inviting your influencers via email. This guide explains how to send invitation emails either manually or in bulk.
Here's a helpful video on how to do this:
Step-by-Step Guide
I. Before you start your campaign
Make sure you've completed the following steps before launching your campaign:
Uploaded your campaign brief to the application form. (More details)
Set compensation (fee and/or product) for all influencers. (More details)
Configured your email flows for each key step (initial and follow-up emails). (More details)
Linked your preferred email address to the campaign. This can not be changed after you launch your campaign! (More details)

Note: You cannot preview your email until influencers are added to your campaign.
We recommend keeping the hyperlinked "HERE" for the application link in the email template when the campaign is created. This helps prevent the link from becoming overly long for recipients.Click Save and Send.
Note: Influencers who have already been invited won’t receive the email twice.
III. Follow-ups and replies
If an influencer doesn’t respond (by applying or replying to your email) and you haven’t manually changed their status, a follow-up email will automatically be sent based on your configured settings.
If an influencer replies to your email, you’ll see a red notice with an envelope icon.
To respond, either click the envelope icon or select the influencer’s name from the column to open the email tab and send a 1-on-1 message.
Best practice:
Need help drafting a response? Try using the ChatGPT reply tool!
It can help you:
Draft favorable or unfavorable replies
Improve your writing
Fix spelling and grammar
Translate to other languages
Adjust the tone of your message
Shorten or lengthen your reply
Note: If your Legal team requires documentation on the use of AI, Upfluence only uses AI for ChatGPT integrations in emails. This feature can be disabled on your account upon request.
IV. Move influencers to the next stage
When you're ready to move forward with an influencer:
Click Shortlist and then Approve. This action is for internal use only, influencers won’t be notified.
To Reject an influencer, click the "X". Influencers won’t be notified automatically, so you may want to send a separate email to inform them.
V. Influencer Status Changes
As influencers respond to your invitations, their statuses will update:
Invitation email sent, but no response yet -> Status: Waiting Application
Influencer applies via application form -> Status: Influencer Responded
Influencer replies via email -> No status change, but a red envelope icon will appear, and they’ll be listed at the top of your dashboard.
When you shortlist or approve an influencer:
For campaigns with no flat fee:
Click Shortlist -> Status: Shortlisted
Click Approve -> Status: Influencer Approved
For campaigns with flat fee:
Click Shortlist -> Status: Influencer Applied
Click Approve -> Status: Influencer Approved
If you reject an influencer -> Status: Influencer Rejected
You can use the Status filter to quickly find and manage a specific group of influencers you'd like to focus on during your campaign.
