If your plan includes the Campaign module, you can use the Content tab to track posts made by your influencers based on the hashtags, keywords, and brand mentions they use in their content.
It works hand-in-hand with the Stream tool, but here’s the key difference:
Content tab: Tracks posts only from influencers added to a specific campaign
Stream tool: Tracks posts from any influencer in the Upfluence database, not limited to campaigns
1. Set up content tracking for your campaign
To start tracking posts, you need to define what to track and where.
You can add tracking terms in two ways:
During campaign creation: In Step 2: Information, find the Content tracking section
After your campaign is live: Go to Campaign Settings > Content > Define Keywords
Choose platforms to track
Click on “Select all” to track across all platforms
Or choose specific platforms like Instagram, Instagram Stories, TikTok, YouTube, X, Pinterest, Twitch, or blogs
Select platforms to track:
To track all social media, select "Any".
Choose one or multiple platforms, including Instagram, Instagram Story, TikTok, YouTube, X, Pinterest, Twitch, and blogs.
Note: Instagram Stories are separate from other Instagram posts. To track Stories, ensure creators connect their professional Instagram accounts to Upfluence. How to invite creators to connect Instagram accounts.
Define Keywords:
Enter the hashtags, mentions, or keywords to track. Examples:
To track the hashtag #Running, select "Hashtag" as the field type and enter "Running" in the value field.
To track mentions of @mybrand, select "Mention" and enter "mybrand."
Note: Creators must include the exact keywords, hashtags, or mentions in their captions for the Stream tool to track their posts.
Set a tracking duration that aligns with your campaign timeline.
Input Cost Per Mille (CPM) and Campaign Expenses to calculate ROI automatically.
Start Recording:
Click "Save" and then "Start Recording" to begin tracking.
Data gathering may take anywhere from a few hours to 4 days.
Learn more about ROI calculations: How to Use the Campaign ROI Calculation Feature.
Important Notes:
Defined hashtags, keywords, and mentions are essential for tracking. Without them, posts cannot be monitored.
Changes to keywords are not retroactive. Posts tracked before updates will not be removed or modified. Check: How to remove posts from my stream
2. Viewing the Content report
Once the Content tab is set up and posts are published, the system will automatically track posts that include your specified hashtags, keywords, or mentions.
Posts will automatically appear in the report.
Posts may take up to 4 days to appear.

Frequently asked questions
How far back can you pull content for the Stream?
Maximum content retrieval:
Content can be pulled from the last 6 months, within the most recent 100 publications of the influencer.
Important conditions:
The influencer must have been in the database before the Stream was created.
For example, if an influencer was added on July 1st, only the last 9 posts before July 1st will be available, along with all subsequent posts.
Data updates:
Only posts published within the last 90 days and among the influencer's last 100 publications will have updated engagement data.
What does "content" for Twitch or YouTube mean when setting up a Stream?
Twitch: Tracks keywords in the stream title, tags, or game being played.
YouTube: Tracks keywords in the video description.
What's the difference between the stream tool and content in a campaign?
Content Tab: Tracks influencers added to a specific campaign.
Stream Tool: Tracks all influencers in the Upfluence database based on your criteria, not limited to specific campaigns.
Can I capture posts made before the Stream or campaign setup?
Yes, posts made before the Stream or campaign setup can be captured, but:
Content can be pulled from the last 6 months or last 100 publications.
Conditions: The influencer must have been in the database before the Stream was created.
How can I use a Stream to calculate my campaign ROI?
To calculate your campaign ROI using a stream, follow these steps:
Set a CPM: Define the Cost Per Thousand Impressions (CPM) for your brand.
Input Campaign Expenses: Enter the total amount spent on all publications.
ROI Calculation: Use this formula:
ROI = ((EMV - Campaign Expenses) / Campaign Expenses) * 100
If your ROI is above 0, it indicates a successful campaign outcome, meaning that the engagement and impressions generated exceed the budget you allocated.
What does the location refer to when I set up a stream?
The location refers to the influencer’s country if specified. If not, it will use the geolocation of the post (available for Instagram posts).
Is it possible to remove an end date from a Stream that's already been running?
Yes, you can remove the end date by going to the Stream settings and updating the Tracking period section.
