Quickly invite creators to connect their Instagram and track who’s already linked

Updated over a month ago

If you want to track Instagram Story performance using the Stream tool or the Campaign - Content tab (for Campaign user only), you’ll need your creators to connect their Instagram accounts to Upfluence. Here’s how you can send them an invitation to make it happen.

Steps to invite creators to connect their Instagram

Option 1: Invite creators individually

You can send an invitation email to a creator directly from their profile:

  1. Open the side panel on the creator’s profile

  2. Click the next to their name to draft a pre-filled invitation email

  3. The email will include a link to a landing page where the creator can follow the process and connect their Instagram account

  4. Review the email, make any edits if needed, and press Send

Option 2: Invite creators in bulk

For bulk invitations, you can simply add the merge field {{stories_invitation_link}} in your email template. This field generates a unique link for each creator, directing them to the Instagram connection page as shown above.

You can type {{stories_invitation_link}} directly into your email or find it in the Insert Merge Fields box on the right side of the email content editor, under Social Media collection.

What creators see

When creators open the invitation email, they’ll find a link directing them to a page where they can follow the process and connect their Instagram accounts.

For extra clarity, you can also send a quick guide explaining the next steps after connection: Creators: How to connect my Instagram account

How to check connection status

You can see each creator’s Instagram connection status on their profile:

  • Connected: A green dot badge shows the connection is complete.

  • Not Connected: A red dot and button let you resend the invitation email.
