How to use Upfluence Marketplace for creator outreach

Target and connect with the right creators effortlessly

Updated this week

Upfluence Marketplace simplifies the process of finding and engaging with relevant influencers for your brand. By specifying your target audience and key preferences, you can let our AI match you with ideal creators. Once matched, we'll automatically send them an invitation to collaborate.

How to set it up

You can set up Marketplace outreach either while creating your Campaign or after creating your Campaign (Recommended):

  • While creating your Campaign:

Step 2: Information > Creator Marketplace

  • After creating your Campaign✨(Recommended):

Go to Campaign Settings > Creator Marketplace

To start the setup process:

  1. Toggle off "Hide campaign from creators looking for collaboration opportunities."

  2. Define your targeting preferences:

    • Brand Info:

      • Fill out your Brand name.

      • Select your Brand industry topics from the dropdown.

    • Audience Info (Your ideal customer):

      • Audience country (the market you sell in).

      • Audience gender (ideal customer gender).

      • Audience age (ideal customer age).

    • Creator Info (Your ideal influencer):

      • Creator country.

      • Creator language.

      • Select preferred social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Twitch, Pinterest).

    • Follower Base:

      • Set minimum and maximum follower counts for influencers.

Note: If you select multiple platforms, the search uses an "OR" approach, meaning influencers need to meet the criteria for just one of the selected platforms.

  3. Limit creator applications (Optional):

    • Set a limit on how many creators can apply. Once the limit is reached, your campaign will automatically be removed from the Marketplace.

  4. Click "Update Campaign" to begin matching and outreach.

Campaign Launch:

Once you activate Marketplace:

Important:

For “Paid Promotion” or “Gifting with Paid Promotion” campaigns, make sure to set up your Flat payment rate and Default affiliate commission before launching your campaign on Marketplace.

  • How to do it: Navigate to Settings > Compensation > Default Payment Values > Default Flat Payment to set the payment rate.

  • Why it’s important: If you don’t set this up before launching, creators will see $0 as your offered flat fee — which can send the wrong message and discourage them from applying.

For more details, refer to this guide: How to set up flat payment offer.

Managing applications:

  • Viewing Marketplace applications:
Influencers who applied via Marketplace are marked with an icon next to their name in the Campaign table view.

  • Approve or Decline:

    • Click Approve to accept their application.

    • Click X to decline. The influencer won't be notified, but we recommend sending them a polite email to inform them of the decision.

FAQs

How many creators are in the marketplace?

All creators in Upfluence's database are eligible, provided they match your criteria. The number of available creators is continuously growing.

How are creators matched to my Campaign?

Creators are matched automatically based on your targeting preferences (e.g., country, gender, age, social media platform). If their audience meets your criteria, they’ll receive an invitation.

Are influencers in the Marketplace verified?

No, Upfluence is not an influencer agency. Creators who apply are not affiliated with Upfluence, and their inclusion is based solely on the criteria you set.

Can I check who the creators are?

Unfortunately, no. You’ll only see the creators who match your criteria and have opted into your campaign.

How many invitations do you send for me each time?

Up to 500 invitations at once, until the number of applicants you set in the Campaign setup is met.

Can I limit the number of invitations?

No, but you can set an "Application limit" in the Campaign setup. Once this limit is reached, the campaign will be removed from the Marketplace, and no further creators will be able to apply.

When does Upfluence invite influencers to my campaign?

Invitations are automatically sent once Marketplace is activated. Make sure all your setup is ready before turning it on to avoid sending invitations prematurely.

What happens when enough applications are received?

Once the application limit is reached, your campaign will be removed from the Marketplace. Any creators trying to apply after that will see a message stating, “We’re all set for now.”

Which social media platforms can I use as criteria?

You can select Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Twitch, and Pinterest as your desired platforms for influencer outreach.
