What is the "Drafting/Send draft email" step in the Campaign

Learn about the Drafting email in your campaigns

Updated over a month ago

The "Drafting/Send draft email" step is designed to invite influencers to submit their content drafts for your review. This step allows you to create an initial draft request email and set up as many follow-up emails as needed to encourage influencers to send their drafts.

Once you’re ready to collect drafts, click the "Drafting" button on the campaign dashboard. This will start sending out Draft request emails and schedule the follow-ups you’ve configured. For more information on follow-ups, see: How to set up automated follow-up emails with Email flows.

I. The Drafting Portal in the Email

The "Drafting/Send draft email" step includes its own initial email and multiple follow-up emails. The main goal of this step is to direct influencers to their personalized Drafting portal, where they can submit their content drafts for your review.

On this page, influencers can:

  1. Upload photos or videos in formats such as .jpeg, .png, .gif, .mov, .mp4, and .ogg

  2. Attach YouTube video URLs

  3. Add content for a blog post

  4. Access the Campaign brief for a reminder of your expectations

NOTE: Influencers can only upload files under 512 MB.

II. How It's Sent to Influencers

Each Draft request email contains the {{composition_link}} merge field, which generates a unique link for each influencer. In the default template, this link is hyperlinked to the word "HERE," directing influencers to their personalized Drafting portal.

Note: The {{composition_link}} merge field works only within a campaign and is automatically generated for each influencer.

To edit and customize your Draft request email with {{composition_link}}, refer to: What are Campaign-specific merge fields and how do I use them?

Important Tips for Using {{composition_link}}

  • Keep the "HERE" Hyperlink: It’s recommended to keep the hyperlink on "HERE" for the {{composition_link}}, as it helps track whether a follow-up email should be sent to the influencer.

III. Tracking Influencer Draft Submissions

Once an influencer uploads their draft, a new action button labeled "See draft(s)" will appear on the campaign dashboard. Click this button to open the influencer's side panel, where you can view their submitted drafts at the bottom.
