If an influencer didn’t use the required hashtags, mentions, or keywords, their content may not appear in your Stream automatically. To address this, Upfluence offers a post-import system that allows you to manually add missing posts to your Stream.
How to import missing content
Open the Stream where you want to import the post.
Above the collected posts, click "+ Add Post".
Paste the post URL, click the "Add Post" button to confirm.
🎉 Congrats! Your post has been imported.
A confirmation message will appear at the top of your screen.
Platform restrictions to know
Some posts may still be blocked due to restrictions set by social platforms:
Meta prevents Upfluence from accessing certain types of content. We cannot import posts from accounts that share:
Alcohol-related content
CBD products
Violent content
Anything that violates Meta’s Terms & Conditions
How to check:
Open the post in an incognito browser window (without logging in to Instagram).
If the post or profile doesn’t display, it’s restricted and cannot be imported into Upfluence.
These rules are enforced by Meta, and there’s no workaround via Upfluence.
TikTok
TikTok places additional limitations that may prevent content from being imported:
Private or underage accounts: These accounts can’t be embedded, and the Share icon will be greyed out.
Creators may block embedding: TikTok allows users to opt out of embedding entirely.
👉🏻 Check TikTok Embed Documentation
How to check:
Visit the influencer’s TikTok profile > click Share > then Embed.
If the message "Profile not available" appears, that profile is restricted.
🛑 Note: If an account is later set to private or underage, it will also appear private on previously embedded posts.
FAQ
Why am I seeing an error message when trying to import a post?
There are several reasons why a post cannot be imported:
The influencer is not in our database:
Use the Upfluence Chrome Plugin to quickly add the influencer’s profile to the database, then try importing the post again.
The post is private/the profile is restricted:
