When paying influencers it is important to keep track of payments and their status, wether the influencer hasn't claimed the payment or we haven't actioned the payment yet the payment tool will outline what's going on with a payment so they can be managed properly
What are the payment statuses?
Here are the possible statuses you can see in the platform and what they mean:
Unclaimed: Unclaimed refers to a payment that has been generated and the request link has been sent to the influencer but they have not claimed it with their payment info and required documentation
Ready to pay: This status referred to a payment that has been claimed by an influencer and they have added all the necessary information for the payment to be claimed, including all requested documentation
Scheduled: This status is visible when the payment method for the request is PayPal and we have clicked on the "Pay" action button for the payment usually the payment wil go out within a few minutes and the status will change to paid.
Paid: As the name implies this refers to a payment that has been made, this can be done either by hitting "Pay" on a request with PayPal as the payment method or when any payment is marked as such via the "Mark as Paid" action button.
Cancelled: This status means that the payment has been cancelled, this can only be done manually and we only recommend cancelling a payment when the influencer needs to change the payment method or resubmit their invoice or tax form.
How can I change the status of a payment?
Once a payment request link has been sent to an influencer it will sit as unclaimed until they have submited their information, then it will change to ready to pay.
At any point a payment can be cancelled or marked as paid with their respective action buttons which are visible after clicking on the view button for the payment:
And when an influencer requests to be paid via PayPal, if you have connected a PayPal account with Payouts enabled, you can make the payment directly through the platform by clicking on the "Pay" action button.
