Connect Upfluence to hundreds of other apps with Zapier

Updated over a week ago

1. What is Zapier and how does it work with Upfluence?

Zapier allows you to connect web applications without coding. By integrating Upfluence with Zapier, you can:

  • Identify potential influencers from any Zapier-connected application

  • Automate influencer discovery by matching email addresses

  • Sync identified influencers into your Upfluence Community

Each workflow (called a Zap) consists of:

  • A Trigger App (where data comes from)

  • An Action App (where data is sent)

How to set up the Zapier integration

1. Create your Zapier account

If you don’t have a Zapier account, sign up here: Zapier sign-up

2. Create an Influencer Matching campaign in Upfluence

  1. Open the Live Capture app in Upfluence, click +New Live capture.

  2. Name your matching, select Influencer Matching > Zapier

  3. Click "Save".

Now, proceed to set up your Zap in Zapier.

3. Select your Zap template

4. Connect a trigger app

  1. Select a Trigger App (where the influencer data originates).

  2. Search for your preferred app (e.g., Salesforce).

  3. Choose a Trigger event that includes email addresses.

  4. Click "Continue" and connect your app account.

  5. Test the connection to ensure it works.

Example:
If you select Salesforce, choose the event to sync with Upfluence (e.g., when a new lead is added).

5. Connect Upfluence as the Action app

  1. Search for "Upfluence" in Zapier.

  2. Select "Match Influencer" as the Action event. Click "Continue".

  3. Log in to your Upfluence account if prompted.

  4. Allow Zapier to connect with Upfluence.

6. Map fields and link your matching

  1. Match fields from your Trigger app (e.g., Salesforce) with Upfluence fields.

  2. Select "Email" as the primary field for matching influencers.

  3. Choose the Influencer Matching you want to link to the Zap.

This allows you to track the performance of influencer identification in the Live Capture dashboard.

7. Test and activate your Zap

  1. Review your field mappings.

  2. Click "Create and Continue" to run a test.

  3. If successful, select "Finish".

  4. Name your Zap and turn it on.

That’s it! Your Zap is now live and will automatically identify influencers based on your selected trigger.

3. Where to find your matched influencers

  • The newly identified influencers will appear in your Upfluence Community.

  • You can track identification performance in your Live Capture dashboard.

  • Use filters in your Community to view influencers captured from a specific Live Capture campaign.

    To filter:

    1. Select the Live Capture matching you want to view.

    2. Only influencers from that matching will be displayed.
