Utilizing the Amazon Attribution integration empowers you to generate affiliate links, directing customers to your Amazon store or product. Following the setup of your Amazon Account (guide provided here), you can now generate affiliate links and track your performance effectively.
Step 1: Connect Your Amazon Ads Account
π Before you start generating your Amazon Affiliate links, make sure to connect your Amazon Ads account to Upfluence. For help on how to do this, read this article: How to connect your Amazon Ads account to Upfluence
Step 2: Generate Affiliate Links
1. Create a new Tracking plan through the Community app or Campaign app.
2. Name your Tracking Plan: Choose a clear name to easily identify it within Upfluence.
3. Select your Amazon Ads account that you want to use.
4. Choose your Sponsored Ads account where the affiliate link will be generated.
A Sponsored Ads account is a sub-account within your main Ads account. It can be shared between Ads accounts and allows you to target a specific country and store on Amazon.
5. Enter a campaign name: This will help you identify your Upfluence campaign in Amazon Attribution.
6. Set the Click-through URL: Decide where the link will direct customers. You can choose between:
A specific product page
Your Amazon store
7. Enable Deep Linking (default setting):
Deep Link enables you to:
Direct customers with the Amazon app installed straight to the app, bypassing the web browser. This leads to more reliable tracking and ensures seamless attribution.
Share a shortened link, making it more suitable for social media and easier to engage with.
Without Deep Link:
When users click Amazon links from social platforms, they often open in a browser where the user might not be logged into Amazon. This can lead to users closing the browser, manually opening the app, and completing the purchase there, which interrupts tracking and breaks attribution.
Additionally, non-deep links are longer, making them less ideal for sharing on social media.
Important Note: Once your Tracking plan is created with the Deep Linking togged on/off, you cannot change it for the other option.
8. Preview Your Link: You can preview how your affiliate link will appear with or without deep linking before finalizing the setup.
Important Note: Once your Tracking plan is created with the URL parameter, it cannot be changed.
9. Validate and finalize the tracking plan: You can now assign this tracking plan to any campaign of your choice and share the affiliate links with influencers.
