1. Request drafts
The Send draft email step is built for collecting content from influencers before it goes live. The email includes a {{draft_link}} merge field, which generates a unique link for each influencer and directs them to their personalized drafting portal where they can submit content for your review.
The email is fully customizable, you can edit the copy to use it as a reminder or content chaser. Just make sure to remove the {{draft_link}} merge field if you're not actually collecting drafts through the platform.
Send in bulk (recommended)
Use this when you're ready to notify multiple creators at once.
Filter by status Shipped product.
Select all creators in the filtered view.
Click Bulk actions > Move to next step > Send draft email.
In the popup, decide what to do with the Send email toggle:
On: Click Continue to email to open the editor, review or customize the email, then click Save and send. Click Preview first to confirm merge fields are rendering correctly.
Off: Click Move creators to skip the email and move creators directly to Draft requested.
A few things to keep in mind:
Use hyperlinked text (like "here") for any links in your template, long URLs can break the layout.
Creators who were already notified won't receive duplicate emails.
You won't be able to preview emails until creators have been added to the campaign.
If you accidentally skipped a previous step, click the back arrow (<) next to Draft requested to move creators back.
Send to one creator at a time
Use this when you only need to notify a single creator.
Click Send draft email on the creator’s row.
In the email editor, click Preview to confirm merge fields are working correctly.
Click Save and send.
2. Review and manage submitted drafts
Once drafts start coming in, filter by status Draft(s) to review to find creators who've uploaded content. A See draft(s) button will appear on their row once something has been submitted.
Click See draft(s) to open the side panel and view the content. From there you can:
Accept the draft to approve it (the influencer is notified automatically).
Deny the draft to reject it. Use the Comment box to leave clear feedback so the influencer knows what to change.
Revert an accepted draft if you need to undo an approval.
Download the draft by clicking the "..." button and selecting Download.
You can also switch to the Email tab in the side panel to communicate with the influencer directly if a comment isn't enough.
Note: Influencers are automatically notified whenever you comment or change the status of their draft.
If you need an influencer to re-upload
Influencers can reuse their original draft link to submit again. If you want to keep a record of all submissions, ask them not to delete previous drafts, the platform displays all versions as a series of dots, ordered from newest (leftmost) to oldest.
3. Skip the draft email
If you want to move creators to the next stage without sending an email:
Select the creators you want to move.
Click Bulk actions > Move to next step > Send draft email.
Toggle Send email to Off.
Click Move creators.
Repeat with Bulk actions > Move to next step > Skip draft.
Keep in mind that influencers can only be moved one step at a time, you can't jump stages. For example, you can move someone from Invite to Shortlist, but not directly from Invite to Draft requested.
4. How influencer statuses work
Statuses update automatically as creators take action, so you always know where things stand.
Action | Status |
Draft email sent, no upload yet | Draft requested |
Influencer uploaded a draft | Draft(s) to review |
Draft accepted | Ready to publish |
Draft rejected | Draft(s) to review |
Use the Status filter to quickly surface a specific group of influencers at any point in the process.
5. Follow-ups and replies
If a creator hasn't uploaded a draft and their status hasn't been manually changed, the platform will send a follow-up email automatically based on your email flow settings no action needed on your end.
To send a personal reply to a creator's email, click their name to open the Email tab and respond directly.
FAQs
1. I accidentally deleted a draft. Can I recover it?
Unfortunately, deleted drafts cannot be recovered. You will need to reach out to the influencer and request them to resubmit the draft.
2. Does downloading a draft compress the image quality?
No, the image quality is preserved exactly as the influencer uploaded it.
3. If an influencer uploads multiple drafts, how do I know which one is the latest?
Drafts appear as a series of dots in the side panel, ordered from newest to oldest. The leftmost dot is always the most recent submission.
