Updated today

UTM parameters are used to track the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns based on specific data points in Google Analytics. UTM parameters can be added to links generated from Upfluence to increase the information you can get about link usage.

I. Where can I add UTM parameters?

  • Option 1: Bulk UTM parameters for sales tracking links

    • Add UTM parameters when creating a Tracking Plan to monitor sales performance. Learn more

  • Option 2: Bulk UTM parameters for click tracking links

    • Add UTM parameters in bulk when creating click tracking links during campaign setup. Learn more

  • Option 3: Individual UTM Parameters for Links

    • Add UTM parameters individually when creating a click tracking link directly from a creator's side panel. Learn more

Note: When adding UTM parameters in bulk (Options 1 and 2), all links will have the same UTM parameters. You cannot customize values for individual links.

II. Available UTM parameters in Upfluence

  1. Campaign source (utm_source):

    • Identifies the traffic source, such as a website, search engine, newsletter, or social network.

    • Example: utm_source=Upfluence

  2. Campaign medium (utm_medium):

    • Identifies the medium used to share and access the link, such as email, social, or cost per click (CPC).

    • Example: utm_medium=YouTube

  3. Campaign name (utm_campaign):

    • Identifies the campaign or promotion linked to the URL, such as a product name, sale type, or contest.

    • Example: utm_campaign=SpringSale

After adding your UTM parameters, click "Add tracking link" to confirm your selections. Upfluence will automatically generate your link for use, you can copy then share it with your influencers.
