How to Use a Single Link to Track Both Sales and Traffic?

Combining affiliate and click tracking links for comprehensive performance monitoring.

Updated over a week ago

If you would like to track not just the traffic your influencers generate but also the resulting conversions, this article discusses ways to combine affiliate links and click tracking links.

NOTE: This action must be done individually for each influencer and works for the following e-commerce integrations:

Step-by-Step Guide

By default, we do not track Clicks on affiliate links (except for Amazon). Therefore, combining Affiliate links and Click tracking links is essential for monitoring performance.

Here are the steps you'll need to take:

I. Generate Affiliate Link:

Follow this article to generate affiliate links (Sales tracking) for your influencers.

II. Add the Affiliate Link to Tracking:

  1. Copy the influencer's affiliate link from the campaign dashboard.

  2. Go to the influencer's profile page and find the "Tracking" section, hit on "+ Add tracking link".

  3. Paste the affiliate link as the "Link url" in the pop-up page.

  4. Enable UTM parameters if needed.

  5. Save the change by clicking on "Add tracking link."

III. Share the Tracking Link:

  1. You can find the tracking link in the current tab.

  2. Click on the copy button to share it with your creators.

  3. This tracking link can also be sent to creators via the "Publication Instructions."

Once you've followed these steps correctly, any sales made or clicks will be tracked in your Performance tab. Sales will appear in the "Conversions" sub-tab, and clicks will appear in the "Tracked Links" sub-tab in your campaign.

If you need to change an influencer's discount code or affiliate link, you will need to redo the steps above and share the new link with your creators.
