As a creator, when collaborating with a brand that requests your Instagram Stories and insights, there's no need for manual uploads anymore. You can now connect your Instagram account to Upfluence’s Creator Space, allowing your Stories to be automatically imported.
You can connect your Instagram account from three places in the Creator Space:
The onboarding page, where you add social media accounts.
The Social media tab.
The Instagram Stories tab.
To connect your Instagram account:
Click the "Connect" button in any of the above locations.
You’ll be redirected to the Meta/Facebook/Instagram authentication page. Input your login details and click "Log in".
Click Continue as [your name] to proceed.
Choose the Facebook business page linked to your professional Instagram account (either option works, as long as it's linked).
Next, select the professional Instagram account you wish to connect to your Creator Space.
Review Upfluence’s access request and click "Save".
Once connected, a green light and the status "Instagram connected" will appear on your page, confirming successful setup.
Note: You can disconnect your Instagram account from the Creator Space at any time. Doing this will stop the automatic import of your Instagram Stories.
Automatic Story Import: After connecting, your stories will be imported into Creator Space at least every 24 hours. Upfluence will fetch them based on the keywords (hashtags, mentions) used in your captions.
Manual Upload: If a story isn’t imported automatically, you can still upload it manually.
Once imported, stories will appear in your Creator Space, showing whether they were added manually or automatically.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. I see this error message when trying to connect my Instagram account. What should I do?
This error usually occurs if you don’t have a Facebook business page or if your Instagram account isn’t set up as a Professional account. What's needed is to link a Instagram Professional account (Business or Creator) to a Facebook Business Page you own.
