How to set up commission structures?

A step-by-step guide to configuring and tracking influencer affiliate commissions for your influencer campaigns.

If you're compensating your influencers by commission, you can set up affiliate commission rates on Upfluence. This can be a fixed amount or a percentage of the sales generated by your creators.

Setting up an affiliate commission rate helps you easily track and manage your commission payments. This article explains how to set up affiliate commissions for your creators.

Step-by-Step Guide

I. Affiliate Commissions Setup

You can set up affiliate commissions by two ways:

✅ Individual Affiliate Commissions Setup

  1. Go to your Campaign App and click on the influencer's profile to whom you want to set an affiliate commission.

  2. At the top of the page, in the “📣Information” section, find the “Affiliate Commissions” section.

  3. Choose between two types of commissions:

    • Percentage of each sale: A percentage of the value of each sale generated.

    • Fixed amount per sale: A fixed value per sale made.

  4. Set up the payout value agreed upon with your influencer.

  5. Click “Save” to validate your choice. The updated value will appear in the commission column.

✅ Mass Affiliate Commissions Setup

  1. Select multiple influencers or select all influencers.

  2. Click on the "Set offer" dropdown button.

  3. Choose "Affiliate commission".

  4. Fill in your Affiliate commission offer details.

  5. Click on "Set your offer".

II. Checking and Managing Your Commission Setup

  1. Campaign App Dashboard: Check the "Commission" column.

  2. Performance Tab: Go to the Orders section and check the "Commission" column.

  3. Influencer Profile: Click on the influencer's profile and open their side panel under the "Affiliate Commissions" section.

Important Notes

Affiliation WON'T be listed as a compensation during your communication with creators, meaning it won't be listed on the application form. This setup is 100% internal, making it easier to manage your commission payments.
