How to set up affiliate commissions for influencers

Track and manage performance-based payouts with ease

If you’re compensating influencers through commissions, you can easily manage this in Upfluence. Affiliate commissions can be based on:

  • A percentage of sales they generate

  • A fixed amount per sale

This setup lets you track performance and automate commission management through your connected e-commerce integration.

Before you start

To use the affiliate commissions system, make sure you have:

  1. Connected an e-commerce integration.
    Check articles for detailed instructions.

  2. Properly assigned an affiliation offer to your campaign.

Without these two conditions, we won’t be able to track sales within your campaign. Once these conditions are met, you can start setting up affiliate commissions.

1. How to set affiliate commissions

You can define affiliate commissions in two places:

Option 1: In campaign settings

Go to Campaign Settings > Compensation > Default affiliate commission, then enter your default commission rate.

Note: This option becomes available only after you've linked a tracking plan to the campaign.
If you're using Marketplace and leave this blank, the commission box won’t appear on the influencer’s application page — so they won’t know a commission is being offered, which could lead to fewer applicants.

Option 2: At Campaign table view

You can edit commissions individually or in bulk.

To set for one influencer:

  1. Go to your campaign and click the influencer’s profile.

  2. At the top, under 📣 Information, find the Affiliate Commissions section.

  3. Choose the commission type:

    • Percentage of each sale

    • Fixed amount per sale

  4. Enter the agreed payout value.

  5. Click Save. The updated amount will appear in the Commission column.

To set for multiple influencers:

  1. Select multiple influencers or click Select all.

  2. Click the "Set offer" dropdown.

  3. Choose Affiliate commission.

  4. Fill in your commission details.

  5. Click Set your offer.

2. How to check and manage commissions

You can monitor and manage commission offers in these places:

  1. Campaign App Dashboard: Check the "Commission" column.

  2. Performance Tab: Go to the Orders section and check the "Commission" column.

  3. Influencer Profile: Click on the influencer's profile and open their side panel under the "Affiliate Commissions" section.
