Once your creators start generating sales through their discount codes or affiliate links, you'll need to review their performance, validate the commission amounts, and send payment requests. This guide walks you through each step.
Step 1: Check creator sales performance
You can monitor sales from three places:
1. Performance tab (recommended)
The Performance tab gives you a detailed overview of all sales generated by your creators.
👉 See How to track and manage campaign sales results using the Performance tab for a full walkthrough.
2. Campaign table view
Add the following columns via Manage fields to get a quick overview across all creators:
Number of sales
Sales value
Amount due
3. Creator profile page
Click a creator's name to open their side panel and scroll to the Affiliate commissions section. You'll see:
Calculation: Payouts are calculated based on the value of the sale without taxes and shipping cost, with the discount deducted.
Canceled/Refunded Orders: Only orders marked as “Paid” on your e-commerce are considered as sales. “Canceled” or “Refunded” orders are not included.
Step 2: Validate commission and send payment requests
Note: We recommend waiting at least 15 days before paying creators for generated sales to account for the applicable retraction period.
Option 1: Validate individually
Go to your campaign table and click the creator's profile.
In the side panel, scroll to the Affiliate commissions section and review the total amount due.
Click on the
button. Confirm the commission amount, then click Authorize to generate a payment request.
If Upfluence Pay is your campaign's payment method, confirm the Upfluence Pay account to use for this payment request before confirming.
The creator will receive an automated email notifying them of the payment.
Option 2: Validate in bulk
Select the creators you want to pay, or click Select all.
Click Bulk actions > Create payments > Affiliate payment.
Review the amounts for each creator.
If Upfluence Pay is your campaign's payment method, confirm the Upfluence Pay account to use before confirming.
Click Create payments to authorize.
Creators who generated sales will receive an automated email. Creators who did not generate sales will NOT receive an email.
Step 3: Pay creators
Once commissions are validated, head to the Payment app to process payouts. See How to manage influencer payments with the Payment app for details.
Step 4: Share sales and commission details with creators
Creators may ask for a breakdown of how their commissions were calculated. You have two ways to share this.
Option 1: Enable conversion visibility
Let creators see their own sales performance directly in their Creator Space:
Go to Campaign settings > Sales & Activity Tracking > Tracking Plan Options.
Toggle on Creators' conversions visibility.
Click Update campaign to save.
Option 2: Exporting sales and commission data
Go to the Performance tab and open the Conversions section.
Filter by date range, creator, or other criteria as needed.
Click Export.
The downloaded CSV includes:
Influencer names
Dates of sales
Order IDs
Total sales value
Commission rates
Total commission due
You can share this file directly with your creators.
This transparency ensures influencers understand how their commissions are calculated and builds trust in your campaign management.
