Shopify Subscriptions now supported in affiliate campaigns! - 08.18.26

Shopify brands can now configure discount codes that apply to subscription purchases, unlocking recurring discount strategies directly inside Upfluence

If your Shopify store runs on subscriptions, Upfluence had no way to reflect that in your discount strategy, only the first purchase was tracked. Now you can set up your full creator discount strategy for subscriptions right inside Upfluence, with your tracking and attribution intact 🚀

Here's what's new:

1- Choose the purchase type for each Tracking Plan

When creating or editing a Tracking Plan connected to Shopify, pick the Purchase type your discount applies to:

  • One-time purchase,

  • Subscription,

  • or Both.

Existing plans keep working exactly as before, nothing changes unless you update it yourself.

2- Set the rules for recurring payments

If a plan is set to apply to Subscription or Both, choose how the discount behaves over time: apply it only to the first payment, to a set number of recurring payments, or to all recurring payments. You're always in control of how long the discount lasts.

3- Review your full setup at a glance

The Tracking Plan side panel now shows the Purchase type and recurring payment rule for every Shopify plan, so you can check your configuration without reopening the edit form.

❓ Q&A

  • Which e-commerce providers does this apply to? Shopify only, for now.

  • What happens to my existing Tracking Plans? Nothing changes. All existing plans are automatically set to One-time purchase, and stay that way unless you edit them.

  • Can I update the Purchase type on a plan I already created? Yes, at any time. Changing and saving the Purchase type updates the plan in Shopify too.

  • Will this affect discount codes I've already sent out? Past orders made under a one-time purchase discount aren't affected. Only new orders placed after you update the plan will follow the new subscription rules.
