How to connect your BigCommerce Store to Upfluence
Updated over a week ago

Upfluence allows you to integrate your BigCommerce Store with our software in order to generate discount codes and track sales.

Generating Credentials from your BigCommerce store

From your BigCommerce menu go to Settings, scroll down until you see the API menu and click on "Store-level API Accounts".

On the right corner, you will find a "+ Create API account" button. Click on it in order to create your personal API keys.

You will be redirected to the API account creation. Please follow the instructions below to make sure everything is properly configured:

  • Token type: V2/V3 API Token

  • Adding a name: We recommend adding "Upfluence" as name

  • oAuth scopes:

    • Customers: Modify

    • Marketing: Modify

    • Orders: Modify

    • Products: Read-only

    • Information & settings: Read-only

Wait before clicking on "Save". You will need to get your Store hash.

Get your Store Hash

On the top of this page, there's an "API Path" field. Copy the value highlighted above, you will need it to connect your store. In this case, the value is f4bl9upz68, but yours will be different. Store it.

Get your access token

Once done, click on "Save" on the bottom right corner. This will validate the API account creation.

Here they are! Your API keys are now ready to go. Please, keep this page opened and do not close it and go to the next step.

NOTE: This is the only API keys copy you will have access to. If you lose it, you will need to delete the keys and create a new one.

Connecting your BigCommerce Account

Once you have generated your API keys, you just have to use them into your Upfluence account to connect your BigCommerce store. From your Upfluence Account, click on "Account Settings" and then the Integrations tab up top.

Scroll down until you see the e-commerce section and add a new account, then, select Bigcommerce as integration type.

This will open the BigCommerce configuration page. Please, copy and paste:

  • URL Domain: Your e-commerce store domain name (ie. upfluence.com)

  • Store hash: previously saved in the Get your Store Hash part

  • Access token: previously saved in the Get your access token part. It's the third field.

Once your domain is connected, you can find it listed into your e-commerce section, and you are now ready to use all the e-commerce features in Upfluence!
