You can connect an unlimited number of email accounts, enabling you to send and receive messages using your company or business email without leaving the platform.

How to connect Gmail to Upfluence

  1. Go to Integrations in your Upfluence account.

  2. Scroll to the Email section and click + Add account > Microsoft Account (Outlook/Basic 365) > Connect.

  3. A Microsoft authentication window will appear. Enter the email address you want to connect and click Next.

  4. Verify your login and choose whether to Stay signed in.

  5. Click Continue, then go back to Upfluence settings.

  6. Choose whether to set this email as your default email address for contacting creators.

Note: Upfluence does not store your emails. All conversations remain linked only to your account, ensuring compliance with GDPR regulations.

Frequently asked questions

1. When trying to connect my Outlook account, Upfluence automatically signs into my personal email. How do I avoid this?

You can prevent the automatic sign-in to your personal email by using an incognito tab for the sign-up process.

2. How many Outlook accounts can I connect to Upfluence?

There is no limit—you can connect an unlimited number of Outlook accounts.

3. Can I send two mailings at once if I integrate multiple Outlook accounts?

Yes, but only if each mailing uses a different email address. Emails sent from the same address will be queued and sent sequentially, but emails from different addresses will be sent simultaneously.

4. I can't connect my Outlook/365 account, why?

This integration only works if your emails are stored on Microsoft’s online exchange servers. If you are using a dedicated Microsoft Exchange Server, the integration may not work.

To check eligibility, try logging in here: Outlook Web App. If you can send and receive emails from the web app, the integration should work.

Note: Aliases or group emails (e.g., hello@yourcompany.com) are NOT supported as they do not have a dedicated mailbox.

5. My emails stopped being sent. What might be wrong and how do I fix it?

There are several possible reasons why Outlook has stopped sending emails:

Possibility 1: Outlook integration is disabled

  • Your password was changed – If you recently changed your Outlook/365 password, you must reconnect your Outlook account in Upfluence.

  • Two-factor authentication (2FA) was enabled – If an admin enforces 2FA after you've already set up the connection, you must reconnect your Outlook account.

  • Upfluence's connection was revoked – You or an admin may have revoked Upfluence’s access to your Outlook account through Outlook settings.

    • If this was done by mistake, reconnect your Outlook account in Upfluence using your login credentials.

    • If an admin revoked access, contact your Outlook Admin or IT department to restore the integration.

  • Connection expired – Some integrations may expire over time. If this happens, simply reconnect your Outlook account.

Possibility 2: Daily sending limit reached

  • Microsoft sets different limits based on account type:

    • Outlook & Basic Office 365 accounts do not have fixed rate limits, but restrictions may apply based on account reputation.

      • Limits vary depending on how many users are on your domain and how old your account is.

      • New accounts or those flagged for suspicious activity may have lower sending limits.

    • Exchange & Office 365 Business accounts have a 10,000-recipient daily limit. If you hit this limit, you must wait 24 hours before sending more emails.

Example: If a user sends an email to 5,000 recipients at 9:00 AM, then another to 2,500 at 10:00 AM, and another to 2,500 at 11:00 AM, they will hit the 10,000-recipient limit and must wait until 9:00 AM the next day before sending again.

Possibility 3: Outlook account verification required

  • Microsoft may require you to verify your account before sending emails.

  • For new email addresses, Outlook has built-in security measures to prevent mass emailing.

  • If you receive an error message, try sending 1-10 emails manually before using the account in Upfluence.

We suggest that you warm up your email address by sending about ten emails before you start using it in Upfluence.

6. How to warm up an email address?

  1. Start with a low email volume and gradually increase over time.

    • Day 1: Send 20 emails

    • Day 2: Send 40 emails

    • Slowly increase the number of emails each day to avoid triggering spam filters.

  2. Modify your email content to look less commercial or spammy.

7. What data does Upfluence access with an Outlook integration?

  • Read Emails: Upfluence only accesses new emails linked to the platform.

  • Write Emails: You can send messages directly from Upfluence using your Outlook account.

Security note:

  • All stored emails are encrypted.

  • Only emails related to Upfluence are accessed.
