Why enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) enhances security by requiring a second verification step in addition to your password. This helps protect against:
Unauthorized access – Prevents breaches caused by phishing or weak credentials.
Financial risks – Reduces the chances of fraudulent payments or fund transfers.
Loss of sensitive data – Keeps private information, such as creator payments, secure.
How to enable 2FA on Upfluence
You can activate SMS-based 2FA in just a few steps:
Click on your profile picture (or initials) in the bottom left corner and select Settings.
In the Security section, find the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) box and click Enable 2FA.
On the 2FA setup page, click Enable under Text Message (SMS).
Enter your phone number and click Send code.
Enter the verification code sent to your phone.
Save your backup codes – You’ll receive 10 unique recovery codes in case you lose access to your phone. Store them securely or download them as a file.
Click Access Upfluence to complete the setup.
🎉 Done! The next time you log in, you’ll need to enter an SMS verification code along with your username and password.
How to disable 2FA
If needed, you can disable 2FA at any time:
Go to Account Settings.
Click Disable 2FA in the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) box.
When is 2FA required
For added protection, certain actions require 2FA verification, including:
Managing payments – Initiating or processing transactions.
Changing security settings – Updating 2FA phone number, generating new recovery codes, or disabling other teammates’ 2FA.
🔄 Trusted sessions
To minimize disruptions, once you verify your identity for a sensitive action, your session remains trusted for 30 minutes — so you won’t have to re-authenticate for every action.
