How to find and edit my discount codes and tracking plans after creation

Find and edit your Tracking plan on Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento and Big Commerce.

Updated this week

You can make various edits to the discount codes you’ve created:

  • Discount code text: Editable within Upfluence.

  • Discount details: Editable directly in your eCommerce store’s back-end.

I. Edit discount code text

You can modify discount code text for individual codes directly within Upfluence using the Campaign tableview or Community tableview.

Note: BigCommerce does not allow discount code text changes due to platform limitations.

Change Discount Code Text

Shopify

WooCommerce

Magento

BigCommerce

Steps to edit discount code text:

  1. Locate the code in the tableview:

    • Campaign tableview: Find the column “Discount code.”

    • Community tableview: Find the column “Status.”

  2. Click the Edit button next to the code.

  3. Modify the code text in the dedicated field.

  4. Click “Save” to apply the changes.

💡 For Shopify users: Updating the discount code also updates affiliate links linked to the code.

Important note: Codes must be unique across your eCommerce store as per your CMS request to track sales correctly. If the new discount code name already exists, you won't be able to save it. An error message will appear to prevent duplicate codes.

II. Edit discount details:

To adjust discount details like amounts, eligibility, or applicable products, make changes directly in your eCommerce store’s back-end.

Supported discount modifications by CMS:

Steps by platform:

Note: If you want to track sales without offering a discount, you can set the discount code amount to 0. Consumers must still apply the code at checkout for tracking purposes. Alternatively, we strongly recommend using Upfluence’s AST (Agnostic Sales Tracking) to generate affiliate links without attaching any discounts.

  • Shopify:

    1. Go to Discounts in your Shopify admin.

    2. Search for the code created in Upfluence.

    3. Click the code and update details as needed.

    4. Click “Save” to apply changes.

  • WooCommerce:

    1. Go to Marketing in your WooCommerce admin.

    2. Search for the code created in Upfluence.

    3. Click Edit next to the code, update details, and click “Save.”

  • Magento:

    1. Go to Marketing in your Magento admin.

    2. Choose Catalog Price Rule or Cart Price Rules and search for the tracking plan name.

      1. You can find your tracking plan in Campaign Settings - Sales & activity tracking section.

    3. Update details and click “Save.”

  • BigCommerce:

    1. Go to Marketing > Promotions > Coupon in your BigCommerce admin.

    2. Search for the tracking plan name created in Upfluence.

    3. Update the details and click “Update Promotion.”

Note for BigCommerce users: Discount codes are not displayed individually in the BigCommerce UI but work correctly in your store. To view all codes in a tracking plan, use the BigCommerce API (Documentation here).
