How to switch the login email to a new owner

Easily update the account owner without contacting support

If someone is leaving your team and you'd like to transfer their Upfluence login to someone new, there's no need to contact support, you can update the login email directly from your account settings.

The process depends on whether you have a single seat or multiple seats.

If you have only 1 seat on your account

You can update the login email from within the account itself.

  1. Click on My account in the bottom-left corner > Settings

  2. Stay on the General Information tab

  3. Under Email address, update the login email to the new one

  4. Update the First name and Last name to reflect the new owner

  5. Click Update

Once saved, the new owner should:

  1. Log out of the account

  2. Go to the login page and click "Forgot password"

  3. Use the new email to create their own password and take over access

If your account has multiple seats

You have two options:

Option 1: Have an Administrator replace the old user

  1. Click on My account > User Management

  2. In the All Members list, find the account you want to remove

  3. Toggle to deactivate the user

  4. Invite a new team member by following this guide: How to invite new users to your team

Option 2: Change the login email directly (if you have access to the old account)

If the previous account owner is still logged in or you have access:

  • Follow the same steps as in the single seat workflow above to update the email and profile info from Settings > General Information
