All you need to know
The Influencer Audience Age Brackets is set to examine an influencer's audience and target specific age groups more precisely. This feature is particularly useful if you need to target the 18+ or 21+ demographic (or LDA compliant influencers, see definition below*).
The age filter is segmented as follows:
The age brackets are available in all parts of the software that display audience demographics (search, stream, influencer profiles, and the IRM). These segment details can also be exported. The +54 bracket represents < 1% of the audience for all the influencers in our database and is therefore not displayed in Upfluence. However, it is accessible via the export if needed.
New vs Old Segment
Previously, there was no distinction between 18 and 24 years old and 54+ audience was not highlighted. Why these changes? are they compatible with previous searches?
It enable you to target specific age groups more precisely and also improves the LDA (Legal Drinking Age) Compliance system . With these new demographic Brackets, we are able to identify new influencers who are compliant with LDA rules. This is an important metric if you want that promote products to an audience that requires an age limit (ie. alcohol brands).
The new Segment breakdown is fully compatible with the old Segment breakdown. You will be able to use your old saved searches and modify them with the new ones if you want to.
What is an LDA compliant influencer?
LDA compliant is Legal Drinking Age Compliance which means that the audience of the influencer has the legal drinking age.
